Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The provisions of Section 135 of Companies Act, 2013 pertaining to CSR requires every company above the specified thresholds of turnover, or net worth, or net profit to spend at least 2% of its average net profits earned during the three immediately preceding financial years on specified CSR activities. The government has also included TECHNOLOGY INCUBATORS (approved by the government) as an approved recipient of the CSR funds under this scheme.


About Indigram Labs Foundation

Indigram Labs Foundation (ILF) is a Technology and Business Incubator (TBI) affiliated and setup in assistance with National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

Indigram Labs Foundation’s incubation efforts are focused in the areas of:

  1. Agriculture and Agriculture – Technology and Food Processing
  2. Clean Energy and Automation
  3. Rural Focused Health and Wellness

ILF is currently working with a pool of 30+ incubatees in the setout area(s) of incubation efforts in the last 4 years of presence.

Why ILF is eligibile for CSR?

Indigram Labs Foundation is eligible to receive funding support under Section 135, Schedule 7 of the Companies Act 2013 because:

 – ILF was founded in 2015

 – ILF is a non-profit organization and registered as a section 8 company

 – ILF is a technology business incubator approved by the Department of Science and Technology’s National Science and  Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (Ministry of S&T, Govt. of India)



Innovation and Seed fund (including impact fund)

Seed support for incubatees(startups) to help with their initial operational expenses and funding for social start-ups – products / services having social impact

Accelerator/ Boot camp fund

Specialized funds for helping a group of Start-ups (usually more than10) to jump start their business and is given for a short period (usually 3-4 months)

Capacity building & Resource Center

For supporting market research, proof-of-concept, product development, cost for IP protection, Cost of experts, mentors, consultants etc.

Fellowships/ internships fund

Supporting interns, Entrepreneur -in -residence (EIR) etc

Nurturing Women entrepreneurs/SHGs at Rural sector/Other Social skill-based training programs

This fund will be used for Capacity building, Meeting Operational expenses, and market

Infrastructure Fund

Funds for supporting creation of additional space, shared facilities, Equipment, Components and Raw materials

Implementation of a public welfare program in the operational area of Corporate

Funds will be used in implementation of various public welfare programs such as Access to Education, Health care, Skill development, Women Entrepreneurship, Agriculture Tech, Clean energy etc
